Positive: Beautiful location, historic Abbey that was such a pleasure to sit and just admire the physical structure. Only minutes from several hiking trails and the Cascata delle Marmore.

Negative: Only one restaurant limits the ability to eat on-site. The other option involves driving to one of the nearby villages, parking, etc. The on-site restaurant was very good; however, unfortunately, our appetizer “Oeuf Poche” (an egg so must be served hot) was cold when we got it. At €18 for the egg, it does matter but only a minor issue of our stay and did not affect how much we enjoyed the rest of our meal and the place in general.

Summary: Wonderful weekend away from Rome.
