Generally overlooked by international tourists, Vico Equense is a pretty coastal town just 10 km east of Sorrento, much-loved for its laidback atmosphere that is typical of a traditional Italian seaside town. Culture vultures will love the clifftop historic centre but it is perhaps best known for its beautiful beaches and pizzerias selling pizza by the metre!
The newly restored Villa Romeo enjoys a great location, just 800 m from local shops and restaurants, close to the train station at Seiano and with a bus stop directly in front of the villa. Its location also means that you’ll have superb views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius wherever you are in the villa or garden. The garden extends to a huge 1,000 m², with lawns dotted with swaying palm trees and lush Mediterranean plants. The pool (9 x 4 m, open from April to the end of October) is slightly secluded, with an outdoor shower, and bordered by sun terraces and hedges. On the top floor terrace there is an hot tub and another solarium, to admire the view totally relaxed.
The villa interior is tastefully decorated and equipped with all mod cons. The ground floor comprises a beautifully furnished living room with a fireplace and piano, dining area for 10 and a stylish kitchen. Step out from the lounge onto a large, covered veranda with a pizza oven and barbecue.
