Summary: We had the pleasure of calling Villa Silvestri our home for the month of July. We enjoyed our stay in Laglio with family and friends. The home has amazing views, is large, high ceilings, spacious rooms for hanging out or working on your laptop. Chef Michela was amazing, referred by the villa's manager, Paola, who was a wonderful point of contact throughout our stay. She checked in on me almost daily to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, asking if we needed help with dinner reservations, offering local site seeing suggestions etc. Truly a pleasant surprise to have such a committed host. Since we were there for the month, Paola arranged for cleaners twice a week as well as laundry service for linens. The villa houses a large laundry room so managing my own clothes or towels was a cinch. Definitely recommend renting Vespas from Enjoy Lake Como next door to the aperitivo bar, Da Luciano. The roads in the area are very small and parking is nearly impossible. Small vehicles like Fiat Panda or Vespas are definitely the way to go if you want to go exploring without the stress. There is not a super local grocery option, but there are two large grocery stores 10-15 drive in Cernobbio. Both have parking lots which is super helpful. Definitely rent a boat that you can drive yourself from Non Sole Barche in Cernobbio. We dined at Villa d'Este weekly and found the piazza in Moltrasio with a bar perfect for evening drinks. We can't wait to plan our next visit back to Lake Como!
